Welcome to The Veil (trading name of G&A DESIGN LTD, registered in England & Wales).
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website www.theveil.com (“Site”) and any purchases you make through it.
By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

2. Products

Our collections feature luxury handbags and interchangeable veils designed for versatility and statement.
We use premium materials and craftsmanship. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy of product descriptions, images and pricing, slight variations may occur in handmade items or from screen displays.
We reserve the right to make minor changes to specifications, materials or finishes without materially affecting your product.

3. Orders & Contract Formation

3.1 By placing an order, you offer to purchase a product subject to these Terms.
3.2 All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. We may refuse or cancel any order for any reason (e.g., out of stock, pricing error, payment issue).
3.3 After placing an order, you will receive an acknowledgement email. This does not mean we have accepted your offer.
A contract between you and The Veil is formed when we dispatch your product to you.

4. Pricing & Payment

4.1 All prices are shown in GBP (£) (unless otherwise stated) and include UK VAT where applicable.
4.2 Prices are subject to change without notice but changes will not affect orders where payment has already been processed.
4.3 Payment must be made at the time of ordering. We accept [list accepted payment types – e.g., major cards, PayPal, Klarna].
4.4 If we discover a pricing error after you have placed an order, we will contact you for instructions and may cancel if the correct price is higher.

5. Shipping & Delivery

5.1 We ship worldwide. Delivery costs and estimated times vary depending on destination and are displayed at checkout.
5.2 For international orders, all import duties, tariffs, and local sales taxes are included in the purchase price at checkout. The Veil ships on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis, meaning there will be no additional charges upon delivery.
5.3 If a country’s customs regulations change or additional duties become payable after your order has shipped, The Veil will assume responsibility for any reasonable charges required to ensure smooth delivery.
5.4 Title and risk pass to you once the goods are delivered to the address you provide.
5.5 Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only and may be subject to customs or courier delays outside our control.

6. Returns & Refunds

We hope you love your Veil. However, if you are not fully satisfied, you are welcome to return any item within 14 days of receiving your order.

Return Conditions:
• Items must be returned new, unused and in original packaging (including dust bags, care cards and boxes).
• Returns that do not meet these conditions will not be accepted.

Please contact info@theveil.com with your order number before sending any returns.
Our team will provide a return authorisation and shipping label where applicable.

Refunds will only be issued once items are received and inspected. You will be notified by email once your refund has been processed.
• Refunds to cards may take up to 14 business days, depending on your bank.
• PayPal refunds are usually available immediately.
• Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

We reserve the right to refuse returns or to charge a processing fee if our return policy is abused.

Faulty Items
If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48hrs of receiving it at info@theveil.com with photographs of the issue.
We will arrange for repair, replacement (where stock allows), or refund.

7. Interchangeable Veils & Modular Components

7.1 The Veil’s signature interchangeable veils and hardware are subject to special conditions. The base bag and veils must be handled per care instructions to maintain quality, fit and finish.
7.2 Because the modular components allow substitution, we cannot accept returns of individual veils unless the base bag is included and the complete set is returned within the return window defined in section 6.
7.4 We reserve the right to discontinue a particular colour or style of veil/hardware. We will replace discontinued items with the nearest equivalent or offer credit where appropriate.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site (text, images, designs, logos, product shapes, photography) is owned by or licensed to The Veil.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit any part of the Site or our products without prior written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 Nothing in these Terms shall limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
9.2 Subject to clause 9.1, The Veil’s liability to you is limited to the purchase price of the product you actually purchased.
9.3 In no event will The Veil or its directors be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages (including loss of profits or goodwill) arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Site.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any contract between you and The Veil shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England & Wales.
You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and take effect immediately for new orders.
Your continued use of the Site or placement of new orders constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
